Help put food production in the spotlight with the Alpharma Animal Health Student Video Contest. Your video will help educate consumers and could earn you some cash. We’re giving you free rein to show every phase of animal agriculture and food production in a fun, positive way.
Our Video Contest is broken down into three parts, and guess who we’re putting in charge of each and every one of them? That’s right: you.
First, we need you to get out your video camera (or a good digital camera), get out to the farm and get some great video clips. We will pay you $25 per qualifying clip to upload them here at meetwhatyoueat.com. If you need some ideas for what to start filming, check out our list of suggestions.
When part two begins, you’ll have access to every video clip uploaded for the Contest. And everyone else will have access to yours. You get to use these video clips, plus any additional media you want to add, to create your video entry for the contest. Just make sure you keep all the Contest Rules in mind when you add your own media.
Then comes the fun part. Once all the videos are submitted, you get to decide who wins the $5,000 Grand Prize through an online vote. So if you’ve entered a video, make sure you get your friends over to meetwhatyoueat.com to check it out before the voting closes.
No purchase necessary to enter or win. Contest open to legal residents of the United States. All contestants must be a college/university student organization, or current college or university students 18 years of age or older as of September 8, 2008.
September 8 – October 6: Submit video clips online.
October 13 – November 21: Create your video entry using clips made available at meetwhatyoueat.com plus your own media.
November 21: Final video entries must be submitted online.
December 1 – December 12: Vote early and vote often to select the winning entry. After the submission deadline for completed videos, all acceptable videos will be posted on the contest Web site. The winning video will be determined through an open voting process.
The winning entry will receive a $5000 cash prize and the video will be posted on social networking sites such as YouTube, Facebook and MySpace.
