Every video should be democratic.  Tell us your vision for the next 250 years of Democracy in Canada and you could win! So grab your cell phones, video cameras or webcams and make a video 30sec. – 3 mins in length. Grand Prize is a trip to Halifax with a friend to attend and have your video showcased at Her Excellency the Governor General of Canada’s Youth Dialogue on September 20th. You also get to checkout and go backstage at an Apathy is Boring Concert featuring artists ill Scarlett, Sloan, & Beast.

Here are some suggested topics to get you going:  What does it mean as a young person to contribute to your country’s democracy?  We’re celebrating 250 years of parliamentary democracy in Canada, what is your vision for the next 250 years? What can you do to make sure your vote counts? What would it take to get YOU to the polls?  Make sure to vote for your favorite video and spread the word that Apathy is Boring!

Canadian residents who are 18 - 30 years of age before the closing date are eligible to enter this contest.

All entries must be received by midnight PST, September 21, 2008.

The judging panel will consist of: A young person, A Canadian author, Eternia, musician & MC, A representative from Rights and Democracy, A member of the Order of Canada

Grand Prize: Video showcased at Her Excellency the Governor General of Canada’s Halifax youth dialogue September 20th, 2008, Winner will be flown to Halifax (from a major Canadian city) with a friend (travel and accommodation provided by ?Dose.ca)Video showcased during the Apathy is Boring Concerts in Halifax and MontrealVIP concert tickets to Sept. 20th Halifax concert (Ill Scarlett, Sloan, & Beast)
