Ask a Librarian – SDR-H40 Video Camera – Students Only - 30 Seconds – Due: January 17th, 2009

Create a 30-second video promoting Ask a Librarian for a chance to win some great prizes.  So…what exactly IS Ask a Librarian? It’s a free online service that allows you to chat with a Florida librarian for instant help with homework, papers and general questions.  Be funny! Be serious! Do a spoof! Do a dramedy! Do whatever you want! Just be creative and have fun.

Now that you know what Ask a Librarian is, go out and make a creative and entertaining 30-second video that tells the world just how _wonderful Ask a Librarian is. Just load it to The Director’s Chair group on YouTube before January 17, 2008 (11:59 p.m.), and the grand prize could be yours.

***You must be a Florida high school student (in 9th through 12th grade) to enter the contest.

A panel of independent judges will choose five finalist videos based on the following criteria:

  • Creativity (10 points)
  • Overall appeal (10 points)
  • Promotion of Ask a Librarian (10 points)
  • Relevance and accuracy of message (10 points)

Grand Prize: Digital video camera Panasonic SDR-H40

Second Prize: Canon PowerShot SD750 Digital camera

Thrid Prize: Apple iPod Shuffle (2GB) with $30 iTunes gift card
