August 28th, 2008 · No Comments

The Michigan Municipal League is offering you the chance to make your voice heard in front of 500+ Michigan elected officials—the very same officials that decide Michigan’s future. We are looking for videos that provide Michigan community leaders with insight on creating, sustaining, and improving the desirable and unique places to live in Michigan.

Michigan’s success depends on our ability to attract talented, creative, and entrepreneurial types—like you! Communities with vibrant downtowns, arts and culture, mass transit, and overall flexible and diverse environments are what you are looking for…and they attract the 21st century employers.Make your voice heard in a video showing us what made you stay or what made you move to your Michigan community. If you left, what caused you to leave, and what would change your mind or bring you back?

Submit your 5-minute (or less) personal story in YouTube format by 5 p.m. September 15, 2008 to win a cash prize (1st place - $300; second and third places - $100)!

We will showcase the top videos before an exclusive audience of 500+ elected community leaders at our Annual Convention on Mackinac Island, October 1-4.

To submit your video, upload it to the YouTube website (you may have to create a personal profile if you don’t have one already), and email the final link to info@mml.org. Within the email, please state your name, age, where you currently live, and your contact information.
