Cyber-Seniors Corner Video Contest – $1,500 – Under 25 and over 70 – Due July 20, 2012

Know an inspirational, funny, or quirky senior citizen (hint, hint, your parents or grandparents)? Cyber-Seniors is running a video contest that challenges young people and senior citizens to create a short video featuring the senior’s skills, stories, advice, or special talents! The video can be about anything, as long as it teaches us something or contains a moral. Be creative!
Requirements
• Each Entry must star at least one person over the age of 70 sharing their wisdom, talent, humour, and experiences with the world. Others persons may appear in the video however the star(s) of the video must be over the age of 70.
• Each Entry must be no longer than 3 minutes.
• Up to three Entries may be made by any Entrant.
• All Entries must begin with a person or persons over the age of 70 reciting the words “Hello YouTube, my name is (the senior’s first name only) and today I am going to (teach you, show you, share with you, talk to you about, etc.)
• Entrants may submit their entry by:
1. Uploading their video file to www.mediafire.com and emailing the link to Jennifer@cyber-seniors.ca
• or
2. By mail on CD or DVD to Cyber-Seniors Inc., 1920 Yonge St. Suite 200, Toronto, ON, M4S 3E2
• In either case, maximum allowable file sizes are not to exceed 100MB and must be submitted in one of the following video formats: AVI, MOV, WMV, MP4, MPEG, FLV, 3GP, and 3G2.
• Each Entry must include the Entrant’s names, addresses, emails and phone numbers, either included in the email with the video upload link, or on a separate sheet included with the mail-in entry. For greater certainty each Entry must include the name and contact information of one individual who is under the age of 25 and one individual over the age of 70.Due July 20, 2012
Eligibility
Entrants must be in a team of at least 2 people, one young person (under age 25) and one senior citizen (over age 70). Each team is allowed to submit up to 3 videos. All videos must be under 3 minutes in length to qualify for prizes.
Judging Criteria
The contest winners will be chosen by delegates selected by Cyber-Seniors (Contest Judges). The Contest Judges will choose a first, second and third place winner. Judges will have full and absolute discretion of their selection but will take into consideration the number of views, likes and comments the Entry has attracted during the Contest Period.
Prize
First place – $1500 (the person under the age of 25 and the person over the age of 70 will each receive $750)
Second place – $800 (the person under the age of 25 and the person over the age of 70 will each receive $400)
Third place – $500 (the person under the age of 25 and the person over the age of 70 will each receive $250)
Winners (first, second, and third) may be featured in the upcoming Cyber-Seniors Documentary film, may be asked to make an appearance in the film, and will be credited in the film. All entrants will receive a ticket to the Toronto, ON premiere of the documentary upon release.
