The VidOpp Video Contest Community

Junior Chamber International Pearl (Malaysia) being the only all-ladies Chapter in Peninsular Malaysia has been very much involved in all areas of activities in the Jaycees movement. We have over the years conducted programmers’ for individual development, offered our services to the community, participated in providing management experience, extended friendly ties internationally and played a part in business network.
The purpose of the Junior Chamber International is to contribute the advancement of the global community for young people to develop the leadership skills, social responsibility, and fellowship necessary to create positive change.
Junior Chamber International Pearl (Malaysia) in collaboration with 88 Event will be organizing an Organ Donors Video Contest 2012 which has been endorsed and supported by Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia.

Requirements

Theme: A Gift of Life
Submission Due Date: 31st July 2012 at 11:59 p.m. Malaysian Time
Video must be submitted in .avi, .mov, .flv, .mpg, .mpeg, .wmv, or .mp4 format must be no longer than one (1) minute in length and cannot exceed 5MB in size. Entrant shall not use any music in the Video unless such music is an original and unpublished composition of the Entrant. Any individuals shown in the video must be at least 18 years of age (unless Entrant is the parent or legal ward of such individual). In the event that the winning Entry includes performances by people other than the Entrant, only the Entrant who submitted the Entry shall be deemed the winner and only the Entrant shall receive the Prize.

Eligibility

Contest is open to legal residents of Malaysia who are 13 years of age or older (guardian’s permission required for participants who are below 18 years old).

Judging Criteria

Judging Phase: All eligible Entries received during the Submission Period by Organizer will be judged as finalists during the Judging Period by a panel of qualified judges based equally on the following criteria: (1) originality, (2) overall impact, and (3) addressing the overall theme (i.e., raising awareness for organ donation) (the “Judging Criteria”). In the event of a tie, an additional, “tie-breaking” judge will determine the finalist(s) based on the criteria listed herein.

Voting Phase: Finalists’ Entries will be featured at http://www.Facebook.com/AGOL during the Voting Period. Visitors to the page will be able to select the Finalist’s Entry that they believe is the most impactful video in creating awareness and encouraging organ donorship. Visitors may vote for up to as many Entries during the Voting Period. Votes obtained by any fraudulent or inappropriate means, including, without limitation, trading votes or offering prizes or other inducements to members of the public, payment for votes or offering to trade votes, as determined by Organizer in its sole discretion, may result in those votes being void and the associated Finalist being disqualified.

The Prize will be awarded to the Finalist who receives the highest number of valid votes, as determined by Organizer in its sole discretion. In the event of a tie, a “tie-breaking” judge will determine the winner based on the Judging Criteria. Use of script, macro or any automated system to vote or with the intent to impair the integrity of the voting process is prohibited and all such votes will be void. Organizer’s decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to this Contest. The Prize award is subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules.

1st Prize: Cash prize of RM5,000 + 4 Days 3 Nights Tour 5-star tour package in Malaysia (worth RM2,000) + digital video cam (worth RM2,000).

2nd Prize: Cash prize of RM3,000 + 3 Days 2 Nights Tour 5-star tour package in Malaysia (worth more than 1,200) + digital video cam (worth more than RM2,000)

3rd Prize: Cash prize of RM3,000 + 3 Days 2 Nights Tour 4-star tour package in Malaysia (worth more than 800) + digital camera (worth more than RM1,500)

Special Award – Most Popular Video: Cash prize of RM1,000 + 3 Days 2 Nights Tour 5-star tour package in Malaysia (worth more than RM1,200)

Special Award – Most Creative Video: Cash prize of RM1,000 + 3 Days 2 Nights Tour 5-star tour package in Malaysia (worth more than RM1,200)
