Genie is opening your garage door to fame and fortune with the Genie “Open Sesame” Video Contest. Making your wish for CASH prizes and a FREE, high-performance garage door opener come true is fun and easy: Just film and submit a really cool video, produced in a safe manner, about Genie openers. They’ll select the top five videos, and each of those finalists will receive a FREE Genie opener, professionally installed in their garage. Then the finalists will create the final cut of their video opener and post it to our Facebook tab.

Requirements

Up to a 90 second video showcasing the use of a garage door opener in the most creative way possible, either as a replacement of an old opener, or to fill the void where no opener exists.
HOW TO ENTER: The Submission Period of the Contest starts at 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time (“EDT”) on April 25, 2012 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. EDT on June 15, 2012 (“Submission Period”). Facebook, Inc.’s computer is the official time-keeping device for the Contest, as interpreted by Sponsor in its sole discretion.
Eligible Entrants can enter the Contest through the Facebook application described below. If a prospective Entrant is not already a member of Facebook, the prospective Entrant may visit www.facebook.com and follow the links and instructions to become a member. There is no fee to become a member.

Eligibility

The Genie Company “Open Sesame” Video Contest (the “Contest”) is open and offered only to legal residents of the 50 United States and Washington, D.C. who have reached the age of majority in their state of residence at the time of entry. In addition, each participant’s place of residence must have a garage that they have the right to alter or improve. Employees of Overhead Door Corporation, The Genie Company, SBC Advertising and American Sweepstakes & Promotion Company, Inc., or any company under common ownership of the foregoing, their immediate families (parent, child, sibling or spouse) and/or household members and any other persons or entities associated with this Contest are ineligible to enter or win Void where prohibited by law.

Judging Criteria

• Genie garage door opener plays role of “hero” in storyline (25%)
• Creativity of idea/entertainment value (25%)
• Accurate usage of the garage door opener (25%)
• Adhering to safety (25%)

Prize

There will be one (1) Grand Prize and four (4) 1st Prizes awarded. ASC will contact and qualify the one (1) Grand Prize Winner, who upon proper verification will receive a $5,000 cash award. The Grand Prize Package has an ARV of $5,400, including the value of the installed opener.
ASC will contact and qualify the four (4) First Prize Winners, who upon proper verification, will each receive a $1,000 cash award. Each First Prize Package has an ARV of $1,400, including the value of the installed opener.
