We want your animated short videos for Crackle’s Wet Paint contest.
Perhaps it started with a doodle on a napkin. Now that ‘little doodle’ has a chance to bring you fame and fortune!
If your animated short video wins Crackle’s Wet Paint contest, you’ll receive $15,000 and a trip to LA for a 2-day Animation Lab at Sony Pictures Imageworks, an award-winning visual effects and animation company, and unprecedented access to an executive at Sony Pictures Animation, the distinguished Hollywood digital animation studio. Winners get to pitch their original animated short idea to Sony Pictures Animation for the possibility of having it released theatrically. Additionally, if you are a winner, you will be invited by Sony Pictures Imageworks to attend SIGGRAPH, the preeminent computer graphics conference, in August 2008.
Upload your video to the Wet Paint channel. If your video is selected to appear in the “spotlight” or “featured” section of the Wet Paint Channel, you may receive an email inviting you to enter Crackle’s exclusive Wet Paint contest. Additional details and information on other ways to enter, are provided in the Official Rules.Crackle wants to ensure your video qualifies for judging. Here are some key “dos” and a few equally important “don’ts! “

- - Use or show other people’s copyrighted materials
such as: - - Copyrighted music
- - Copyrighted characters
- - Logos, advertising or trademarks
- - Show phone numbers, addresses or email addresses
- - Use indecent content
- - Submit videos over 40 minutes long
- Eligible Videos must:

- - Originality (100 points)
- Creativity (100 points)
- Execution (100 points)
- Quality of Animation (100 points)
- (a) be in animated short format;(b) not exceed forty (40) minutes in length;(c) use a bit rate of no less than 300Kbps and use one of the following formats:

No other formats will be accepted, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion;

Videos will be judged by a panel of qualified judges (the “Initial Judges”), to be selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion, using the following objective criteria (”Judging Criteria”) based on a 400-point system:
