Tangerine Digital Entertainment’s youth portal Campus18.com has launched Digistars, a video contest to identify India’s ‘Best Video Talent’ in film making, acting and editing.

To participate you need to be an Indian national.

You need to be a registered member with Campus18.com to have the right to enter the contest. Membership is to the site is free. 

Entries compete in one or more of the 9 categories below:

1. Best Video- Best overall video in competition.
2. Best Performer- Best overall performer in competition.
3. Best Stand up Act- Funniest one-take stand-up comedy or mimicry performance (based on original or copied material) by an individual performer.
4. Best Funny Video- Funniest film, video or spoof in competition.
5. Best Mash up video- : Most original video created by mixing footage from two or more different visual and/or audio sources.
6. Best Social Message Video- Video that most effectively communicates or creates awareness about an issue of social importance.
7. Best Story- Film which most skillfully executes an original & creative story.
8. Best Music Video- Video that most skillfully visualizes an original song or previously recorded music.
9. Break through Concept- Video or film with the most stunning and out-of-the-box creative idea. 

All videos need to be three minutes or less

File size should not exceed 20MB.
- Videos can be in any of the following formats: 3gp, mpeg, mpeg4, wmv, flv, wmp

Short-listed entries will be asked to send in their videos for contest screening on DVD (PAL) in 720X576 resolution.

Submissions Phase (12th December 2007 to 16th January 2008): Participants enter their videos into competition by uploading them on Campus18.com and choosing which of the 9 categories they want them to be nominated in.

The winners will get a contract to make 10 short films and also a contract to have his/her own show on Campus18. Other prize winners will get a chance to create India’s first online interactive serial, which will be showcased on Campus18 and will be promoted extensively.

Best Performance : A contract to make your own show on campus18 & Cash Prize Rs.25000/-
