Gillette Search for the Next Phenom – $30,000 – Over 14 yo – Under 90 seconds – Due: May 20th, 2008

Here’s what you do guys: Create a video of 90 seconds or less showcasing your skill in a ball sport. Your video may include the biggies—basketball, baseball, soccer, football, golf, tennis—the lesser obvious ones— volleyball, water polo, cricket, rugby, croquet—and even the fooseballs and Super Balls of the world.You can kick it, throw it, shoot it, catch it, juggle it, dribble it, heck do a dance with it if you like. If you’re phenomenal enough, you could win.

All eligible entries received will be preliminary judged by a panel of Sponsor representatives to determine up to 25 Finalists.   All judging will be based on the following criteria:

Originality & Creativity of ball skill (50%)

Skill level of ball sport as demonstrated in video (25%)

Overall entertainment value of skill as evidenced in video (25%)

Online voting will Begin on 6/6/08 and end on 6/22/08 to determine the winner.

Grand Prize: Winner will receive a check in the amount of $30,000.00, plus, winner’s video/skill may be shown on TV, at Sponsor’s sole discretion. 

Winner will be required to travel on dates specified by Sponsor during the week of 6/23-6/27 for the purpose of appearing in a TV spot demonstrating the winner’s ball skill and participating in any PR activities. 

Most Entertaining Video Prize: Winner will receive a Blu-ray Disc™ Player 

Most Unique Skill Video Prize: Winner will receive a Mini Camcorder

Best Technical Skill Video Prize: Winner will receive a 42” Plasma TV 21

Finalist Prizes: all remaining Finalists will each receive a Gillette grooming package consisting of sponsor-specified products.
