The “Great Night Out Initiative” $10,000 online video contest, from Goldstar
Events, is asking folks like you to make a video that encourages people to
go out more often to live entertainment.  Goldstar Events is
putting on the contest, but they’re not asking for people to do commercials
or anything like that.

All you really need to do is think of something that would encourage your
friends and family to go out to live entertainment more often.  You can be
funny, creative, wacky or weird.  Next, grab any old (or new) digital
camcorder or celphone and start shooting. 

And, you do not have to mention Goldstar Events specifically, unless you
feel so inclined. This is about getting people to have more great nights
out, with or without the help of Goldstar.  Goldstar will not own any
content that you create for this contest. You may re-use your content for
any purpose or modify a piece you already have, if you feel it is a good
fit.

Goldstar Events is not judging the contest. The judging will be done by people who come to watch the video on our Goldstar Events site and give it a thumbs up or thumbs down. And even if you don’t rally people to come vote for you, Goldstar has 400,000+ members and we’ll be promoting your video to them too.

The maximum file size for any video file uploaded to YouTube is 100 MB. Video file(s) submitted to your YouTube account must be provided in one of the following file formats: avi, mov, mpg, or wmv.

One (1) Grand Prize Video Winner will receive one (1) Ten Thousand Dollar ($10,000) cash prize (ARV: $10,000); one (1) Grand Prize Photo Winner will receive one (1) One Thousand Dollar ($1,000) cash prize (ARV: $1,000); five (5) Video Runners-Up will each receive one (1) Five-Hundred Dollar ($500) cash prize (ARV: $500); and ten (10) randomly selected Judges will each receive one (1) One Hundred Dollar ($100) cash prize (ARV: $100). The prizes will be awarded as a check payable to the winning Entrant or Judge.
