Have your parents been to Israel? NO? Want them to see Israel for free as you did? YES? Then enter the “Let My Parents Go!” Alumni Video Contest today and your parents could be headed to Israel this summer.

The Contest is open to all North American alumni participants of Taglit-Birthright Israel programs.

 What will the video be judged on and what needs to be included?

A) Your video needs to address the following questions:

1. Why your parent(s) should go to Israel?
2. Which elements of your Taglit-Birthright Israel trip would be most important for your parent(s) to see and why?
3. What experiences do you hope your parent(s) will have?
4. How might the trip transform your parents’ lives?

B) Your video will be judged on:

1. Creativity
2. Relevance to theme
3. Effectiveness in communicating subject (the questions above)

Be sure to show yourself and each parent you are entering in the video (either with a photo or include them in the taping).

There will be eight ‘winners’ from the US and one ‘winner’ from Canada. Each winning entry is valid for a trip to Israel for two to Israel for the parents you enter into the contest.

Prize is a trip to Israel for the entered parent(s), not unlike your Taglit-Birthright Israel trip, including guides, transportation, most meals, hotels and flights to Israel (from New York). We may allow them a little more sleep, however.

There are three easy steps to submitting your entry:

1) Create your video and tell us where to find in (login here to enter this).

2) Send your parent(s) an eCard about the contest on how they can confirm and acknowledge their entry.

3) The eCard will take them to a link where they can confirm the entry and acknowledge the rules.

Finalists will be selected by independent judges and will be posted for public, online voting on or around March 28, 2008.
