OurStage is pleased to again be working with acclaimed musician Curt Smith of Tears for Fears. To celebrate the release of Curt’s latest solo album, Halfway, Pleased, we’re giving OurStage artists the chance to produce a video with Curt for a stand-out track from his solo album!

Artists will create their concept for a music video for Greatest Divide from Halfway, Pleased and upload it to the Greatest Divide Music Video Channel on OurStage. One high-ranking artist will work with Curt to produce the official video for Greatest Divide and will receive $1000 toward the completion of that video. 

Open to OurStage account-holders who have Internet access and are thirteen years of age or older at the time of entry. 

There are four rounds of voting to determine the Winners across all Channels for the monthly competition. Regular Judging to select the Top Twenty in each channel runs 23 to 24 days, always ending 7 days before the end of the month. Quarter Finals takes place on the following four days to select the Top Ten in each channel. Semi Finals take place on the next two days to select the Top Ones in each channel. Finals take place on the last day of the month to select the Grand Prize Winner.

PRIZE FOR Greatest Divide Music VIDEO CHANNEL:  One high-ranking artist in the Greatest Divide Music Video Channel will be selected jointly by OurStage and Curt Smith to produce a video for Greatest Divide” from Curt Smith’s newest album, “Halfway, pleased”. Winner will receive $1,000 to promote the completed video product and will have a mentor session with Curt Smith to collaboratively work on the Greatest Divide video.  Should Curt Smith be featured in the video, it will be filmed in the greater Los Angeles area at a time and place to be mutually agreed with Curt.  Shoot time with Curt Smith will be limited to one working day. 

If the winner elects to produce a new video (as opposed to refining an already-entered video), Curt Smith will have creative approval over the video’s concept/ storyboard before production, and final cut/approval before the video is exhibited (neither to be unreasonably withheld).  The winning video may not be sold or commercially exploited without prior written consent of the the songwriters and of Curt Smith.
