$5,000 for Best Film/VideoOurStage is now accepting your video and film submissions for our June competition. Videos (15 minutes or less) are welcome in the following channels: Animation, Comedy, Cutting Edge, Action Sports, Music Videos, and Short films. Enter by August 29th.

If you’ve ached over it, OurStage wants it.

OurStage empowers our growing fan community to view and judge entries in a compelling, addictive way that cannot be gamed, skewed or rigged.

OurStage wants your videos – the best in June wins $5,000.

Here’s how it works:
•Submit your work at www.OurStage.com/go/vidopp
•Let our film-savvy audience view and judge all submissions, selecting the 10 best per channel. Channel winners are decided at month’s end via fans’ text-message voting
•The entry with the most text votes across all film/video channels wins one of two $5,000 Monthly Grand Prizes (the other is awarded to best song in the music category).
•Runners-up get festival appearances, cash prizes, swag and serious exposure from our growing list of partners (including Gen Art, Paste Magazine, Independent Film Festival of Boston, Slamdance, Film Threat, and SceneFirst).

OurStage offers the first truly democratic competition where everyone gets a fair crack, and the hardest working (talented) people in showbiz rise to the top.

Video file(s) and/or Music file(s) entered in the Contest must be no more than 15 minutes in length, and be submitted in one of the formats allowed on the Compete Upload page on the Web Site.

There are two (2) rounds of voting to determine the Winners across all Channels for the program.

Round One: All eligible Entries will be posted on the Web Site. There will be a public vote online to determine the top ten (10) Entries from each Channel on www.OurStage.com starting on 8/01/07 12:00:01 am ET and ending on 8/29/07 at 11:59:59 pm ET. Members to www.OurStage.com will be asked to vote by ranking an Entry compared to another Entry. Entrants are not allowed to rank their own submission(s).

Round Two: Once the top ten (10) Entries for each Channel have been selected, there will be a second public vote via text message starting on 8/30/07 at 12:00:00 am ET and ending on 8/31/07 at 11:59:59 pm ET (the “Round Two Voting Period”) to determine the top Entry for each Channel. To vote for an Entry, consumers must text the keyword associated with the Entry (found on the Web Site) to the short code 78243 (STAGE) during the Round Two Voting Period. For Round Two Text Message voting, there will be a premium text message charge of 50 cents ($0.50) per vote.
