The VidOpp Video Contest Community

Brighton College is offering the chance to win one of three great tuition prizes of up to $10K in tuition (usable towards any program) and other prizes including an iPad3 and 10 Best Buy gift cards worth $100 each. Submit a short video showing us a day in the life of your dream job, demonstrating how Brighton College will get you there.

Requirements

o be eligible, your 2 minute video submission should include:
1. A brief introduction of yourself, telling us:
- your name
- where you’re from
- what you currently do
2. A description of your dream job, showing us:
- where/how you would work
- what kind of things you would do on a daily basis.
(Be creative; show us your morning routine, how you would dress, a building or location you would love to work in, or what kind of people you would like to work with.)
3. An explanation of how Brighton College will help you achieve your goals:
- what program you would enroll in
- what certification you would get
- what types of things you think you would learn.
The contest begins July 1st 2012 at 12:00am PST and ends September 3rd 2012 at 11:59pm PST.

Eligibility

Contestants must be legal residents of British Columbia, Canada, and must be 18 years of age as of July 1, 2012.
Employees of Brighton College Ltd., and each of their affiliates, subsidiaries, and agents, and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, and their respective spouses) or persons living in the same households of such individuals, whether or not related, are not eligible to enter or win a prize. Consultants and contract workers of Brighton College Ltd. are eligible to enter the contest.

Judging Criteria

In the entry Stage, the general public may cast votes for their favourite entries using the website, and contestants may encourage friends, family, and individuals to vote in their favor. Any use of automated software to digitally vote for Video Entries is strictly prohibited and the use of automated software may result in disqualification of contestants. Voting for this stage ends September 3rd, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. PST.

The judges will each review all entries, on the basis of capturing benefits of attending brighton College, higher education, creativity, aesthetics, technical skill, and will take the public votes into consideration and will select the first prize winner and second prize winner.

Prize

1st Award: $10k free towards tuition
2nd Award: $5k free towards tuition
3rd Award: $2.5k free towards tuition

The ‘Fan Favourite’ winner with the maximum number of Facebook likes will be eligible to win an iPad 3.
The first 10 submission participants will each receive a Best Buy gift card of $100 (limited to one gift card per person).
