Capture one of life’s most memorable moments in a creative and innovative way and you’ll be one giant step closer to the prize altar. Karat, Inc. is seeking entries for its First Annual Karat Proposal Contest. Proposals may be real, staged, re-enacted, funny, romantic – the options are only limited by your imagination. Entrants can submit a brief biography and weblink for self-promotion. The winner will be awarded $1,000 (USD).

Requirements

Capture or create a unique marriage proposal. Karat.com logo may be used, but the logo or related product is not required; no other brands may appear. Videos should be a maximum of three minutes.
Due Date
Voting begins on February 14; entries will be accepted until 12:00 am (GMT -5) March 16, 2012.

Eligibility

Entrants must be 18 years old or older. Competition is open to the international community; however, the video must be created in English or have English subtitles.

Judging Criteria

Videos will be posted on the Karat.com website. Visitors can use the Facebook “like” button to vote for their favorite video. A panel of judges will determine the final winner focusing primarily on creativity and originality, but the voting will be taken into consideration.

Prize

The winner will receive $1,000 (USD). All entries meeting the established requirements will be posted on Karat.com with accompanying biographies and weblinks.
