Scotties Facial Tissue is proud to announce the Trees Rock video contest . The Trees Rock video contest centers around educating young students not only on the importance of trees but as part of a bigger picture of sustainability within the community as a whole. Scotties is partnering with American Forests on this initiative in the joint creation of all education material for the program.

Requirements

Entries must be received by 11:59:59 PM EST on November 30, 2012.

Entry may not exceed three (3) minutes in length, audio must be in English, and Entry must be in .avi, .mov, or .mpg format.

Eligibility

Scotties Trees Rock Video Contest (“Contest”) is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and D.C. who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry and who are the parent or legal guardian of a 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade student(s) enrolled in a state accredited elementary school located in the 50 United States/D.C.

Judging Criteria

From October 1, 2012 through November 30, 2012 Entries will be judged by a panel of judges appointed by Sponsor based on the following criteria: (i) most compelling story relative to theme (40%); (ii) creFrom January 15, 2013 through February 15, 2013, the twelve (12) Finalists will be posted on http://www.scottiestreesrock.com where viewers will be asked to vote for their favorite Finalist based on the following criteria: (i) most compelling story relative to theme (40%); (ii) creativity (35%); and (iii) clarity of expression (25%). The voting period will start at 12:00:01 a.m. EST on January 15 2013 and will end at 11:59:59 p.m. EST on February 15, 2013 (“Voting Period”). Voters must be eighteen (18) years of age or older and must first register before they may vote. Limit one (1) vote per person/email address per day during the Voting Period.ativity (35%); and (iii) clarity of expression (25%).
The Finalist receiving the highest number of eligible, non-suspect, votes will be deemed the potential Grand Prize winner, subject to confirmation of his/her eligibility.

Prize

Grand Prize
One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive $5,000 cash, a tablet computer (value up to $1,000) and a trip for up to 4 guests, for 5-days/4-nights to either The Grand Canyon or Yellowstone National Park. The Grand Prize winner’s school will also be awarded $10,000 and a tree planting event at the school.
First Prizes
Two (2) first place winners will each receive a tablet computer (value up to $1,000) and $2,500 cash. Their schools will also each be awarded a $5,000 cash prize.
Second Prizes
Three (3) second place winners will each receive a $1,000 cash prize. Their schools will also each be awarded a $2,500 cash prize.
Third Prizes
Six (6) third place winners will each receive a $500 cash prize. Their schools will also each be awarded a $1,000 cash prize.
e (1) Grand Prize: Winner will receive $5,000.00 cash and a tablet computer and the state accredited elementary school attended by the child/legal ward depicted in winner’s Entry will receive $10,000 and a tree planting event. Approximate retail value of tablet computer: $1,000.00. Exact make and model of tablet computer will be determined at the sole discretion of the Sponsor at time of awarding. Tablet computer does not include internet, installation, software, devices, or any other incidental fees. The tree planting event donated by Sponsor in winner’s honor will occur in the spring of 2013.
