During the “Submission Period” (as defined below), visit the web site www.GSNTV.com/DANCESTAR (the “Website”), read these Official Rules, complete the submission form found on the Contest page with the information requested, and follow the online instructions to upload and submit your Submission directly to the Website. Each Submission that is entered into the Contest must meet the following “Submission Requirements” (any video that, in Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion, violates the following criteria will be disqualified):
(a) the Submission must be five (5) minutes or less;
(b) No nudity, foul language or otherwise offensive content allowed;
(c) the Submission must be the submitting entrant’s original, previously unpublished work and not contain any third party copyrighted material; and
(d) the entrant must secure and provide upon request all appropriate clearances, permissions and releases for the Submission granting Sponsor the right to use the Submission as set forth in these Official Rules without any payment being owed (in the event an entrant cannot provide all required releases, Sponsor reserves the right, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, to disqualify the applicable Submission, or seek to secure the releases and clearances for Sponsor’s benefit, or allow the applicable Submission to remain in Contest);
(e) the video must be uploaded in one of the formats accepted at the Website.
Submissions must be received by the end of the Submission Period. The Website database clock will be the official time keeper for this Contest. No substitutions of new versions of Submissions will be accepted under any circumstances once the original Submission is submitted for consideration. Any Submission that is considered by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion to be obscene, libelous, hate speech or otherwise objectionable, in whole or in part, will be disqualified and will not be eligible for entry. All requested information on the Contest page must be completed to enter and to be eligible to win. Any communication or information transmitted to Sponsor and/or the Website by electronic mail or otherwise is and will be treated as non-confidential and nonproprietary. Submissions become the exclusive property of the Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged. Proof of submission is not considered proof of delivery to or receipt of such entry. Furthermore, Sponsor shall have no liability for any Submission that is lost, intercepted or not received by the Sponsor.
Limit one (1) Submission per person and/or e-mail address, regardless of method of entry.
The Contest is only open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia and Canada (excluding Quebec) who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Children must get their parent or legal guardian’s permission to enter. Officers, directors and employees of Sponsor, DIRECTV, Sony Pictures, The Promotional Edge and each of their respective parents, members, subsidiaries, divisions and affiliates (all such individuals and entities collectively referred to as “Promotion Entities”), individuals involved with the development, production or distribution of the Contest, and each of their immediate family members and those living in the same household (whether related or not) as any of the individuals in the preceding categories, and any person whose access to www.GSN.com and/or www.WorldWinner.com has been terminated or suspended by Sponsor, are not eligible to enter the Contest or win a prize. This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook.
Beginning on or about March 17, 2012 through March 31, 2012 (the “Submission Period”), Submissions will be displayed on the Website and made available for viewing by the general public and any such posting will be deemed made at the direction of the entrant within the meaning of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and the Communications Decency Act. Beginning on or about April 1, 2012 and continuing through April 10, 2012 (the “Voting Period”), visitors to the Website will have the opportunity to vote (each, a “Vote”) for their favorite Submission. Votes for each Submission will be tracked by the Website. Limit one (1) Vote per day, per person/email address during the Voting Period. The five (5) Submissions with the most Votes at the end of the Voting Period will be each be deemed a “Finalist”. In the event of a tie among Submissions, the tie will be broken by criteria selected by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion. The Finalist Submissions may be featured (but Sponsor shall have no obligation to feature the Finalist Submissions) during an airing of “Dancing With The Stars” (the “Program”) on GSN and/or on the Website. Please check www.GSN.com forthe Program’s schedule, which is subject to change or preemption without notice. In the event Sponsor elects to feature the Finalist Submissions during the Program, each Finalist Submission will receive the same amount of air time. After the Voting Period, a panel of judges selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion (the “Judging Panel”) will one Grand Prize winner from among the Finalist Submissions based upon the following criteria: 25% for originality; 25% for creativity; 25% for dance ability; and 25% for presentation. All decisions of the Judging Panel are final and binding in all respects of theContest and not subject to challenge or appeal. The Grand Prize winner will be announced on or about April 14, 2012 during an airing of the Program finale on GSN. Please check www.GSN.com for the Program’s schedule, which is subject to change or preemption without notice. The Grand Prize winner will also be notified by telephone, e-mail, and/or mail using the contact information provided at the time of entry. Sponsor shall have no liability for any winner notification that is lost, intercepted or not received by the potential winner for any reason. If, despite reasonable efforts, a potential prize winner does not respond within three (3) days of the first notification attempt, or if the winner notification is returned as unclaimed or undeliverable to anypotential winner, such potential winner will forfeit his or her prize and an alternate winner may be selected. If any potential winner is found to be ineligible, or if he or she has not complied with these Official Rules or declines the prize for any reason, such potential winner will be disqualified and the prize may be awarded to an alternate winner. The Grand Prize winner may be announced during the season finale of the Program and the Grand Prize winner’s Submission (or a portion thereof) may be featured during the season finale of the Program.
Grand Prize. One Grand Prize is available. The Grand Prize consists of (i) round-trip business class (if available, if not economy class) airfare for the Grand Prize winner and his or her travel companion between the major airport that is nearest to the Grand Prize winner’s residence and Los Angeles, California; (ii) three (3) nights’ hotel accommodations for the Grand Prize winner and his or her travel companion (one  room, double occupancy) at a standard deluxe hotel (hotel to be selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion); (iii) a “Dancing With The Stars” makeover for the Grand Prize winner including professional hair, make-up and wardrobe; (iv) voucher good for lunch for the Grand Prize winner and his or her guest at The Ivy restaurant in Beverly Hills (restaurant selection subject to change at Sponsor’s sole discretion); (v) voucher good for dinner for the Grand Prize winner and his or her guest at Mr Chow’s restaurant in Beverly Hills (restaurant selection subject to change at Sponsor’s sole discretion); (vi) the opportunity to dance with a “Dancing With The Stars” cast member (the “Meet and Greet”); (vii) round-trip ground transportation between Los Angeles International Airport and the hotel; and between the hotel and the Meet and Greet; (viii) opportunity to be featured on-air on GSN during a program (the “Program”) to be selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion (the “Feature Role”). The approximate retail value (“ARV”) of the Grand Prize is $10,200. Actual value of the Grand Prize depends upon the departure location. The Feature Role component of the Grand Prize is subject to the requirements and approval of the Program’s producer, which may be granted or withheld in such producer’s sole discretion. The Meet and Greet component of the Grand Prize is subject to schedule and availability. If the Grand Prize winner does not have the opportunity to participate in the Feature Role or the Meet and Greet due to scheduling conflicts, cancellations, postponement, an event of force majeure, or for any other reason, then the remaining components of the Grand Prize shall constitute full satisfaction of Sponsor’s prize obligation to the Grand Prize winner, and no other or additional compensation will be awarded.
Finalist Prize. Up to five (5) Finalist Prizes will be awarded, one to each Finalist. Each Finalist Prize consists of a $100 pre-paid American Express gift card (“Gift Card”) (Approximate Retail Value [“ARV”]: $100 each).The issuer of the Gift Card may be altered by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Use of the Gift Card is subject to the terms and conditions of the issuer. The total ARV of each Finalist Prize is $100.
The Grand Prize winner’s travel companion must be eighteen (18) years of age or older, or if such travel companion is under the age of majority in his or her state of residence (a “minor”), the Grand Prize winner must be such minor’s parent or legal guardian, or travel with the written permission of such parent or legal guardian in form and substance acceptable to sponsor in its sole discretion. If the Grand Prize winner is a minor, his or her travel companion must be his or her parent or legal guardian, or the Grand Prize winner must travel with the written permission of such parent or legal guardian in form and substance acceptable to Sponsor in its sole discretion. In the event a Grand Prize winner’s residence is close enough to Los Angeles, California such that air transportation is deemed by Sponsor in its sole discretion to be unnecessary, the applicable Grand Prize will not include air transportation from such Grand Prize winner’s residence and no other substitution or compensation will be provided in lieu thereof. The Grand Prize winner and his or her travel companion must travel together on the same itinerary and must possess all required travel documents, including visas and valid passports, if and as applicable, and comply with any applicable hotelcheck-in requirements, such as presentation of a major credit card. Travel restrictions and blackout dates may apply. All aspects of the travel portions of the Grand Prize must be conducted on such dates as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. The dates of departure and return are subject to change at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Airfare may not include government taxes, Passenger Facility Charge or September 11th Security Fee. Airline tickets are non-refundable/non-transferable and are not valid for upgrades and/or frequent flyer miles. Other travel restrictions and blackout dates may apply. All airline tickets are subject to the vagaries of flight variation, work stoppages, and schedule or route changes. The ARV for travel prizes may vary depending upon points of departure and destination. Sponsor reserves the right to structure travel routes and select hotels in its sole discretion. The ARV for travel prizes is an estimate made before the Promotion begins. The Grand Prize winner will not receive cash or any other form of compensation if actual travel costs are less than the estimate made in these Official Rules. The round trip air transportation element for any travel prize begins and ends at the point of departure. Room taxes and other hotel fees are not included and if applicable may be payable at the time of check-out by the winner/guest. A deposit or payment in advance, or presentation of a credit card by the Grand Prize winner, may berequired at the time of check-in at the hotel. Any hotel cancellations or changes to hotel reservations after confirmation must be made with the hotel directly, and the Grand Prize winner is solely responsible for any charges and/or fees arising from changes madedirectly with the hotel. The prize restrictions/conditions stated herein are not all-inclusive and the Grand Prize described above may be subject to additional restrictions/conditions, which may be stated in the “Prize Claim Documents” (as defined below) and/or other travel documents. If the Grand Prize winner is unable to participate in the trip on the dates selected by Sponsor, the Grand Prize will be forfeited in its entirety. In the event the Grand Prize winner and/or his or her travel companion engages in behavior that, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, is obnoxious or threatening, illegal or that is intended to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person, Sponsor reserves the right to terminate the trip or other applicable experience early, in whole or in part, and send the Grand Prize winner and/or his or her travel companion home with no further compensation.
