UMB “More Than” Video Contest – $20,000+ NY trip – Over 18 yo – Due December 21, 2012

UMB is more than just a bank. You are more than just a college student. In keeping with that thought, help us kick off UMB’s 100-year anniversary by telling us what “more than” means to you – in your life, your school or your community. Video entries should inspire us. We want to see your unique perspective on the “more than” theme.

Requirements

Videos must relate to the “More Than” theme in your own creative way. Videos are required to be 30 seconds in length and cannot exceed this time limit. The first 25 seconds will be used for your own creative content; the last 5 seconds must be reserved for the UMB logo and the words, “Inspired to do more”, which can be downloaded from the content library.

Videos should be shot in at least 720p quality in widescreen format (16:9). Videos must be submitted as a QuickTime.mov file using the following encoding setting:
• Compression type: H.264
• Frame rate: 30 (or 24)
• Resolution: 720p (1280×720)
• Bitrate: 5,000 kbps
• Audio format: AAC
• Audio sample rate: 48 kHz
• Audio channels: Stereo
• Audio bit rate: 256 kbps

All submission items must be uploaded on umb.com/videocontest no later than 11:59 p.m. CT on December 21, 2012.

Eligibility

Participants in UMB’s “More Than” Video Contest must be at least 18-years-old and currently enrolled in at least three credit hours at a university or college in UMB’s retail footprint. See contest link for details.
Videos can be created by individuals or groups of no more than three people who must attend the same university. Each individual or group is required to have a school sponsor that will support the project in its entirety. The school sponsor of the winning group or individual will be invited to attend the first prize trip to New York City to see the video displayed in Times Square. If the school sponsor is unable to attend this trip, another faculty member from the college or university must attend the trip with the winning group or individual.

Judging Criteria

Videos will be scored using our scorecard. A 30-point scale will be used by a predetermined panel of judges who will score entries based on the following criteria: impact, creativity, originality, appropriateness of theme, clarity of message and quality of production.
The top videos will be selected by a judging panel and placed on the UMB Bank Facebook page for the public to view and cast their vote. Contestants may increase their video scores from the judging panel by up to 20 points by driving Facebook votes to their videos on the UMB Bank Facebook page. This will make a total score of up to 50 points for each video (30 points possible from the judging panel, 20 points possible from Facebook votes). The top 20 videos will be posted on the UMB Bank Facebook page on February 1, with the bottom five being removed each week until only the top five videos remain. The voting process for the top five videos will begin on February 22, 2013. The top three videos will be announced on March 1, 2013 at umb.com/100.

Prize

All videos placed on the UMB Bank Facebook page will receive a variety of UMB gear and gain public exposure as honorable mentions.
• The first place winner will receive $20,000 plus an exclusive trip to see your video displayed at the famed NYC Times Square on the NASDAQ marquee and tower on April 25, 2013.
• The second place winner will receive $10,000.
• The third place winner will receive $5,000.
