Four chapters are now complete and this is your last chance to create a winning chapter and get into the finals. Chapter 5 submissions are due September 11! Go watch the story up to today and see where it leads you.
They create a short video clip or “Rootclip” to start the story. You watch their video, then shoot your own rendition of what should happen in the next 1-2 minutes. A panel of judges and the audience votes during the voting period and the best video becomes the next chapter in the story.
Keep it under 2 minutes and be sure to advance the story in some way. Maintain character consistency through wardrobe. End on a cliffhanger. Make it as funny or serious as you want.
Here’s how it all works:
We start Chapter 1 of a new story with a short clip.
You shoot your own version of the next chapter and submit it.
Everyone votes on their favorite and the Judge’s panel counts for 50%.
The video with the highest percentage of the votes wins $250 and some sweet prizes.
We move on to the next chapter and the submissions and voting start all over again!
Open only to legal residents of the United States and District of Columbia, who are 18 years of age or older as of date of entry.
Submission periods:
Chapter 2 - July 15, 2008 - July 24, 2008
Chapter 3 - July 28, 2008 - August 14, 2008
Chapter 4 - August 18, 2008 - August 28, 2008
Chapter 5 - September 1, 2008 - September 11, 2008 at noon Eastern
