The Slingbox is a device that lets you watch your home TV, live through the Internet on your cell phone or laptop. We thought it would be interesting to see what stand up comics might have to say about the Slingbox. So, we developed a contest that’s pretty simple: write a bit about the Slingbox, record a video of it, and then post the video here on www.standupandsling.com. Then, we’ll let the public vote on which video is the funniest. The winner will receive $10,000 and a chance to headline at the Improv in Hollywood (we’ll pay for travel too). The first 50 people to post videos will receive a free Slingbox.

Technical Requirements: The maximum file size for any video file uploaded is 100 MB. Video file(s) submitted must be provided in one of the following file formats: avi, mov, mpg, or wmv.

ONE (1) GRAND PRIZE: $10,000 cash and headline at the SUAS night at the Improv in Los Angeles, California (date to be determined by Sponsor following completion of the Contest). ONE SECOND PLACE PRIZE: $2,000 cash and performance slot at the SUAS night at the Improv in Los Angeles, California (date to be determined by Sponsor following completion of the Contest). ONE THIRD PLACE PRIZE: $1,000 cash. In addition, the GRAND PRIZE and SECOND PLACE PRIZE winners will each receive one round-trip, economy-class airline ticket to Los Angeles, and one night hotel accommodation in Los Angeles

To enter, first click on the “Sign In” link. Registration on “Stand Up and Sling” (SUAS) must be completed before a video can be submitted. When you register your SUAS account, a password will be sent to your email address. 
Once registered, sign into your account, click “Upload” and follow the instructions to upload your final, edited video (your “Submission”). Submissions that do not include all required information and adhere to the foregoing and following requirements will be considered void and will not be considered in this Contest.
