The Door Post Film Project – $100,000 – Open to All – Under 5 Minutes - Due: May 1st, 2008

Are you an independent filmmaker looking to share your vision with the world? This is your shot! We are your platform – and an opportunity to showcase your talents for prominent producers, development studios and your peers all over the world. Did we mention that we’re providing over $300,000 (USD) in awards and prizes to make it happen? It’s time you had a voice… Films are accepted in any format, in any genre, no more than 5 minutes in length on one of the following seven concepts: LoveGreedRedemptionPainForgivenessFreedomEnergy 

Vidopp Note:  There is a fee for registration starting at $50. 

Judging will be performed by a panel of industry professionals as well as by viewer voting on the doorpost.com website. Each of these components will be weighted 50% and aggregated for a final score to determine the finalists 

The Doorpost Film Project will announce the 15 talented finalists on June 2, 2008. Each of these finalists will be awarded $10,000 in order to make another short film 8-15 minutes in length.

Viewer voting will account for 70% of the score in the final round with the industry professional vote weighted 30%. All finalists will be flown to Nashville September 10 - 13, 2008 to receive special training sessions with industry professionals and screen their films for a live audience.

One of these talented few will receive an award of $100,000.

1st place: $100,000 and a trip to Los Angeles for development meetings with Hollywood executives.

2nd place: $30,000

3rd place: $20,000
