Here’s How it Works: Your video must focus on home energy issues such as insulation, appliances and water usage. Energy saving solutions to common home problems like high energy bills, mold and dust can also be addressed. 

The videos should not contain any non-home related issues such as consumer electronic usage, vehicles or gas affordability. 

Contest open to legal residents of the United states 18 and over. Submission period ends November 9th. 

Three top prizes for the video contest will be awarded. The winners will be chosen by a select panel of judges from The Home Depot based on the following criteria: 

• Relevance to Energy Savings theme: 40% 
• Creativity: 30% 
• Originality: 30% 

One Grand Prize Winner will receive a $5,000 The Home Depot Gift Card to be used on energy efficient products and up to $2,000 for installed insulation or radiant barrier products from The Home Depot Home Services. The winning video will also be posted on homedepot.com. 
One (1) Second Place Winner will receive a $1,500 The Home Depot Gift Card to be used on energy efficient products.
One (1) Third Place Winner will receive a $500 The Home Depot Gift Card to be used on energy efficient products.
