Video Contest Clearinghouse

The Intersection of
Video & Opportunity

Yougizmos - $2000 - Open to all - No Duration Specified - Due: January 1st, 2009

November 21st, 2008 · No Comments

We joyfully invite you to submit a wonderful video or idea of something that will inspire people to be creative. It could be a kinetic sculpture, a one of a kind robot, an amazing home made toy. It can be something that no one has ever seen before or something that everyone’s seen with some new twist. It can be something as large scale as an experimental plane or as small as a new kind of zipper.

As an example, imagine a video of someone who has created a robot that mows the lawn safely and automatically, or perhaps some one who has built a human powered vehicle that you sit and row rather than pedal. Or imagine a video of a machine that is driven by the sun that does absolutely nothing. The common denominator to all the submissions is creativity for the sake of being creative.

The submissions should inspire people to get up off the couch and run to their shop. The submissions should be at worst benign and at best inspiring humankind to do good, we don’t want to see anything that hurts people or is negative in any way. An ancient weapon of siege like a catapult or a trebuchet is just fine, but we don’t want to see a new water board device.

YouGizmos believes that all ages can be creative and can contribute to the enjoyment of members. We do recommend that children under the age of 14 have their parents permission and guidance for some of the projects found on this site. The best submission, as rated by a combination of our staff and user inputs, will be awarded a cash prize of $2,000.

Grand Prize: $2000
